DSD February 23, 2017: "Changing" Harry Pane

Shaun Cordingley

Welcome to the "Daily Song Drop": theguysfrom.com's song of the day feature where our resident indie music writer and former DJ Shaun Cordingley features a song every weekday that he feels you need to hear.

Changing - Harry Pane

English Singer/Songwriter Harry Pane's "Changing" is a really good, bluesy, indie folk song that seems to get better every time I listen to it. I really appreciate the blues elements infused into this track, as it really helps to elevate the deceptively simple sound into something quite special:

This is the official music video for Changing by Harry Pane, from the EP out now.

I really appreciate the fact that the song largely rests on the back of Pane's vocals/lyrics, and a pure line of acoustic guitar; this base allows the little additions and flourishes to create a complete, and dare a I say soothing, sound.

Harry Pane has been getting a fair amount of attention, featuring on BBC Introducing, Radio X, as well as Amazing Radio, and has played festivals like SXSW and Glastonbury, so there's a chance you may have stumbled across him before...but if not: Pane is about to embark on his first ever tour of the UK (so if you're in the area, you should really check him out), and a new EP (The Wild Winds) is expected this April. If you are looking for"Changing" (or a bit more Harry Pane right now), his EP Changing is available now.

You should also give the Dec 16/Jan 17 Playlist a listen!

Remember, if you want me to expand where I put these playlists beyond Apple Music, you just need to let me know on Twitter, and I'll see what I can do.

The Guys From do not hold the rights to any "Daily Song Drop" songs, it is more our hope to expose our readers to new and different music that we are enjoying, or re-expose them to artists they may have forgotten about.

Above the description of the song will be the song name, followed by the artists' name linked to their website, so you can fall down the rabbit hole, finding and supporting what you dig.
