Welcome to the "Daily Song Drop": theguysfrom.com's song of the day feature where our resident indie music writer and former DJ Shaun Cordingley features a song every weekday that he feels you need to hear.
Bad Water - AronChupa featuring J and the People
Swedish Renaissance man and Producer AronChupa returns today with his latest track "Bad Water" featuring J. and the People. Once again AronChupa has delivered an absolutely fantastic electro-swing dance song, This is definitely for fans of his earlier work (including the song we talked about back in October), as well as anyone who really loved C2C, Parov Stelar, or even Bakermat (who we talked about last month).
"Bad Water" is one of those songs that will get you moving right away, clapping along with a giant grin on your face--I mean, it's an electo-track that uses a fiddle, how can you not:
Dance elements, swing elements, even a little bit of revival all blend together to make yet another song that AronChupa really deserves more attention for. Again, I do understand that in certain communities (EDM, dance fans, DJs), AronChupa is far from unknown, but I have a feeling that most of the DSD audience is probably using me to dip their toes into EDM, and there's a lot out there that does not completely break through into the mainstream.
With a little luck, "Bad Water" is a song that we'll all be hearing a helluva lot more of this year.
Here is the Dec 16/Jan 17 Playlist, and I can assure you it is worth it; it's a chill playlist, but it has a really good energy to it (and we're only missing a couple of tracks from those two months, which ain't too bad).
If you're interested, there is also an Apple Music Playlist for the Top 20 Songs of 2016
There also happen to be ALL the old "Tuesday Tunes" monthly lists, like the one for November 2016! This one is only missing a couple of tracks so it's a fairly full, and fun list!
Remember, if you want me to put these playlists on other services (like Spotify), let me know on Twitter (I've linked it below)
If you're looking for more great music, are late to the party, or just want more theguysfrom.com in your day, here are the playlists for:
There are other (earlier) playlists available for you if you check older "Tuesday Tunes" articles, or search on Apple Music itself.
See you again next week!
