EP210- Building them Non-Player Characters
Shaun Cordingley
This week, Shaun (@Shauncord) and Jeremy (@MightyThews) were asked by Michel to offer a companion podcast to their GM Tips podcast and the Building the Narrative Podcast and offer a bunch of ideas on building Non-Player Characters (NPCs), and they divided that into two halves:
First off, the Guys discuss just some general tips for those people that fill out the game world, from the shopkeepers, to street urchins, to food on sticks, to Quest Givers/Patrons...they also delve a bit into how they recommend building the characters, how not to overdo it when you're building, and provide butt-loads of ideas...occasionally accompanied by random drilling noises...sweet...sweet...drilling noises....
Secondly, they take a look at building the antagonists of a campaign--with an idea on how to build a full faction of antagonists, from the grunts and nobodies, all the way to very very top (with a great amount of detail in-between)
And they do this by fleshing out the bear illuminati story they randomly seem to be running with on these D&D podcasts...accompanied by a rather impressive wind...
Sorry about....noise...
