How It Is - Majik
Chill electronic duo Majik recently released a new EP called Under the Influence and, continuing on our chill holdiays week, today we are going to talk about the blissfully relaxing "How It Is" (which you can check out below)
If "How It Is" does not relax you, I do not know what will--the heartfelt, chill vocals (that you are probably going to be singing along to right quick), the piano/percussion balance of the musical backing that keeps the track at a mellow tempo, and the production...Majik have balanced this track incredibly well, not letting it lapse into getting tired or repetitive, by subtly changing the song verse to verse, chorus to chorus.
I have been trying my best to fill this week in with brilliant, mellow tracks, and "How It Is" is that to a Tee--I know that I say it a lot, but this is one of those songs that is exactly what a hectic day (week, month...) needs, and if you're anything like me, you are going to probably end up with "How It Is" on repeat, nodding and singing along, and feeling that a bit of calm roll in.
