DSD May 2, 2017: "Circles" - Bee
Shaun Cordingley
Welcome to the "Daily Song Drop": theguysfrom.com's song of the day feature where our resident indie music writer and former DJ Shaun Cordingley features a song every weekday that he feels you need to hear.
Circles - Bee
London based Indie folk singer-songwriter Bianca Bazin AKA Bee released "Circles" as her debut single recently, and it's very pretty. It has a real traditional folk feel to it, something akin to what I remember (or at least think I remember) as Canadiana-like folk from when I was growing up (man I miss THAT CBC).
Check out the official video below:
I'm always a sucker for great vocalists, and Bee is that for sure; she has a voice that brings a smile to my face. Longtime readers of DSD know I like weird metaphors here, so, brace yourselves: "Circles" feels like a mug of tea watching the rain fall against the window in a song--it's relaxing, it's beautiful, and it's warm. The piano & acoustic is balanced nicely, and I really appreciate the way "Circles" builds musically, particularly when the scope really broadens in the second half of the track.
I know that "Circles" just came out, but I hope we do not have too long to wait to hear what Bee is up to next.
The DSD Playlist - Apr 17 is now available! We are sadly missing one song from the last month (again), but I'm pretty happy with how this one all came together!
ICYMI (somehow) here is the DSD Playlist - Mar 17 , and there's also one kicking around for DSD Playlist - Feb 17 too!
See you again tomorrow (with probably another completely different sounding song, so I can hate myself come Playlist time...)

The Guys From do not hold the rights to any "Daily Song Drop" songs, it is more our hope to expose our readers to new and different music that we are enjoying, or re-expose them to artists they may have forgotten about.
Above the description of the song will be the song name, followed by the artists' name linked to their website, so you can fall down the rabbit hole, finding and supporting what you dig.
